Finally Time

**Before I update on the Krull family, I have to ask that you stop right now and say a prayer for our dear friend Lanie and her family.  Lanie's MRI showed that her cancer has spread.  Her parents are now having to make unphatomable decisions about Lanie's future.  We have come to love this family and are asbolutely heartbroken for them.  This is the evil, evil part of cancer that destroys hopes and dreams.  Unfortunately, Lanie will not be the only friend we might lose along the way.  Dear God, I pray that we will all be made whole sooner than later in heaven as you have promised.  I ask you all to remember Lanie, her parents and the children at St. Jude tomorrow in your churches, Sunday School classes and individual prayers.  Lanie and so many other children need a miracle.  We are still praying for one in Lucy's life. **

If the good Lord wills, this time tomorrow night we will find ourselves starting the 4th (and prayfully the last) round of chemo.  So many emotions, so many fears, so many questions.....

We have surely made the most of the past 3 weeks.  We have celebrated 2 birthdays, started soccer, went on field trips, had school pictures, decorated for Halloween and painted the kitchen.  I have been on a de-cluttering tear, donating lots of Goodwill and our children's school.

I will be posting like crazy this week.  I will be documenting Lucy's week, as I want to remember this last round, and have over 500 pictures to edit and post.  I told you we have been busy!

Thank you for your prayers this week.  We know that Lucy's journey is far from over.  There are still mountains to move and hurdles to cross.

  5. We are so very sad to hear about Lucy's friend Lanie. Is there a blog or caring bridge site we can visit and offer support to her family? Love the new photos -- Lucy is adorable in her facepaint :)

  9. Praying hard for Lanie..... cancer is such an evil beast and has no mercy. When my niece was battling leukemia, I saw so many precious babies lose their battle and read their parents blogs sobbing.
I am praying hard for a miracle to occur in Lucy's life... and in every precious child's life at St. Jude.

Kate, you are like so many of the parents I mentioned above -STRENGTHENED by your faith in God and held in the arms of our Lord and Savior. The witness you provide to us "outsiders" can literally save a person's "eternal life."
Please share a caring bridge site, if you are willing, so we can pray for Lucy's friends at St. Jude.

    Blessings and prayers always,
    Jenny Underwood

  10. Every time I hear this song, I think of you. Please know I am praying for strength for your family and Lanie's family. I know this must be such a difficult journey for you, but rember God is with you every step of the way.

    Matthew West

    You must
    You must think I'm strong
To give me what I'm going through

    Well, forgive me
    Forgive me if I'm wrong
But this looks like more than I can do
    On my own

I know I'm not strong enough to be
everything that I'm supposed to be
    I give up
    I'm not stong enough
Hands of mercy won't you cover me
Lord right now I'm asking you to be
    Strong enough
    Strong enough
    For the both of us

    Well, maybe
    Maybe that's the point
To reach the point of giving up

    Cause when I'm finally
    Finally at rock bottom
Well, that's when I start looking up
    And reaching out

I know I'm not strong enough to be
Everything that I'm supposed to be
    I give up
    I'm not stong enough
Hands of mercy won't you cover me
Lord right now I'm asking you to be
    Strong enough
    Strong enough

    Cause I'm broken
    Down to nothing
But I'm still holding on to the one thing
    You are God
    and you are strong
    When I am weak

    I can do all things
Through Christ who gives me strength
And I don't have to be
    Strong enough
    Strong enough

    I can do all things
Through Christ who gives me strength
And I don't have to be
    Strong enough
    Strong enough

    Oh, yeah

I know I'm not strong enough to be
Everything that I'm supposed to be
    I give up
    I'm not stong enough
Hands of mercy won't you cover me
Lord right now I'm asking you to be
    Strong enough
    Strong enough
    Strong enough

  13. Hello, my name is Courtney and my mothers name is Amanda. We were the ones that painted your two precious daughters faces while watching your little handsome boy run around giggling and your husband trying to chase him down. Lol... My sister-in-law is Amanda kissell or now gurley, she was lucy's teacher when you found out the news. I just wanted to say it was an honor to get to finally meet the " go Lucy go" family. I have been praying for all of you every since Amanda came home to tell me the news. I will keep praying for you all and I am glad my mother n I could help you and your family have a great day at the festival. It was very touching to see a little girl smile and try to do everything on her own when she has been thru so much. She inspires me. I hope the best for you all and god bless.
