Today

Today was a busy day.  OT for Lucy, a quick visit with my sweet Maddie girl, homeschooling (Mrs. Cissy is out of town this week), tumbling, church, bath/bedtime and then exercise.  However, we did manage to have some fun:

 (Jack discovered playdoh)

(we are creating a word wall for Lucy to help with her site words.  Mrs. Cissy and Mrs. Beverly will be so proud!)

At the end of the day, this little girl was tuckered out!  Today, I am so grateful for every breath my three children, wonderful husband and I take.

  10. Your Lucy is BEAUTIFUL!! She is looking healthier every post and we are to thankful to The Great Physician!
Jack is such a boy! Loving playdoh was one of our boys favorites until it was in the hair. :)
And...the Bob books! They taught our daughter to read! We adopted her from Russia when she was four years old, she behind the curve a little and the Bob books helped sooo much!
Blessing to you and your sweet family and we will continue to pray without ceasing

  12. My kindergarten son has the Bob books in his classroom also. And, if you haven't already found them, the LeapFrog DVDs "Letter Factory" and "Word Factory" are GREAT at helping kids learn their phonics sounds without even realizing that they are doing it.

  19. I don't usually comment (scratch that ~ I actually never have before but I've been lurking since since "the beginning"!), but thought I'd pass on a couple easy homeschooling tips that might help you get through this week (I teach kindergarten and the BOB book caught my attention!). Starfall.com has some (free) great phonics activities, games, and stories that Lucy would probably really like. And, Leapfrog has an EXCELLENT DVD called Letter Factory (if she's still working on her letter sounds) and Talking Words (Building short vowel words): great songs and very high interest. The Talking Words is my absolute favorite and is great for all five year olds (It might be especially good for Lucy during some of those "low energy" times. I'd be happy to send you a copy to the Rose Construction address if you think that it would be up Miss Lucy's alley). :o)

Please know that you have, and continue to be, in the thoughts and prayers of so many!

  21. Sight words...oh we love them here too. How "normal" that is...and so great that Lucy is strong enough to learn now. I saw an idea on Pinterest.com where someone had taken plastic Easter eggs and put beginning letters i.e. b, c, h, t, s, and so on, on one side and ending on the other i.e. at. I think they used stickers. Lucy can twist the sides of the egg to make new words. Different eggs for different combinations. Have fun! Love to see Lucy doing so well. Continued Prayers.
