As if to remind me that my work is not complete, I have spent my morning at the doctors office with sick babies.

Ella has a bad sinus infection and is now on breathing treatments.

Lucy still has an ear infection (just finished 10 days on amoxicillin) and is about 1 day away from a sinus infection.  On the 1 year anniversary of Lucy's diagnosis, let me just tell you I did not welcome the vomit that  she woke up with this morning.

And Jack is about 3 days into the antibiotic he is being treated with for his sinus infection.  His Daddy is too.  Thank God I am well.  Mommy just doesn't have the time to be sick.

Everyday is a reminder to keep life in perspective.  Thankful today for sinus and ear infections.

  4. Bless you, Kate. I don't know how on earth you do all that you do. May all your little ones soon be over their sinus and ear infections. Praying for God's mercy and that and he will shower you with his grace and enfold you in his strengthening, loving presence. You're in my thoughts and as always in my prayers.

  5. Wow,triple whammy! I am so sorry you all have to go through this but you are so right that this is nothing compared to what you have been through with Lucy. But 3 sick ones at once! That is a challenge. Praying for healing for you all in addition to strength and continued health for you.

  7. Long time reader, 1st time commenter. I stumbled across your blog shortly after Lucy's diagnosis. My kiddos are the same ages as your girls so I felt a personal connection to your ordeals. Anyway, despite the fact of the sinus infections, how wonderful to see Lucy at a normal doctor's office instead of a hospital environment! What a typical kid thing...instead of a cancer patient issue.

  10. Hi,
I've been following your blog for awhile now. I'm 16, and I guess I've gotten very confused while reading. Is Lucy cancer free? I'm praying for you guys. You all are truly amazing. God bless

  12. Even though Lucy is not feeling well at all in this picture, I just think she has so much more color to her than usual! She doesn't look lifeless :) You've not heard from me, but I do keep up with your blog and check on Lucy often so that I know specifically what to pray for. I think she looks great!
