Agony and Victory

Good morning to the wonderful prayer warriors that held us up yesterday.  It was a long day and even longer night.  The latest we have ever gotten results from Lucy's scans was 7:30pm.  At 11:30 last night we reluctantly went to bed with sick stomachs and minds filled with doubt and fear.  Apparently at 2:30am, Dr. W texted me with the results (she was on call and had gotten very busy with sick patients).  We did not receive them until 7:00 this morning.

Lucy's scans were CLEAR and her spinal fluid contained NO cancer cell.  Praise God!  He has answered our prayers one more time.
Lucy celebrating with new shoes!

We are so excited around our house about Lucy's great news today that dancing was the first thing Jack thought about!

Look, Lucy even got in on the action.  Look at her lifting one foot at a time and balancing.  Amazing!

Oh, and Ella.  Well, she has just "flipped" over the news!

  6. I BURST into tears when I read "CLEAR" and "NO" cancer cells! Thank you Lord! I am saying prayers for your dear Grandfather. Nearly 15 years ago, our Grandmother (age 77) and a little friend (9 months old) were both diagnosed with cancer. Grandmother battled through a few years of chemo and disease, peacefully joining Jesus while surrounded by her children. Today, that little girl is an athlete and happily surrounded by hundreds of friends at her high school, with beautiful wavy hair.

  42. I just read this verse and your Lucy is the first thing that came to my mind. 2 Timothy 4:7 NKJV I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, have kept the faith. I know the race in not over, but I am so thankful her scans came back clean. I have read and prayed for your family often. Thank you for sharing your family's journey and thank you for being so transparent through it all. You are a blessing to many!

  49. "They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength......" Sometimes the waiting is agony. However, the Psalmist said, "Weeping may go on through the night but joy comes in the morning." Y'all- and we - are rejoicing at God's answer to our prayers. PTL
