National Day of Prayer

Family
Thursday, May 3rd will be the 61st Annual Observance of the National Day of Prayer.

"Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord." Psalm 33:12

I have been asked to participate in our county's NDOP by leading the prayer for families.  I hesitantly agreed and now I am getting nervous already.  My hesitance was not heading God's urging, but rather my sheer inaduequecies shining through.  Who am I to lead anyone in a prayer?  I have to believe that God laid my name on the leader's heart, however incompetent I may feel.  I will be spending the next 14 days in prayer that God would speak through me as our town comes together to lift up our country in collective prayer.

If you are in our area, please stay tuned for more information about the day.  I'll be sure to post as much information as I can .  If you are looking to get involved in your own town, check out this website.

  6. But what an inspiration you are to the people of your community! You have helped show the world what the power of prayer can do. Thank you for taking on this task since you are such a great witness to the miracles that God can do. You and your sweet family have made an impact on more people than you can ever imagine and your faith and humbleness has moved thousands of people. Bless you Kate - I believe your future will involve a lot of public speaking and you and your family will bring God into the hearts and lives of so many people. Go Lucy Go!

God will give you the words for that prayer , and soo many families will be touched by it. [Let your light so shine before men , and glorify your father which is in heaven.] God bless you and your family. I praise God for you and your family , you have helped me in my faith, and my walk with God.

    Kate,
first, you look AWESOME in red! Holy cow. So pretty.
second, if you can talk you can pray. period. people make prayer too complicated. it is refreshing to just chat with God out loud. It makes it less imtimdating for the non-prayers if you just keep it simple. Love your blog. :)
