  2. Praying for your family and especially sweet Lucy. She is a little fighter and I know God is watching over her. I lost my sister to breast cancer last fall after a year long battle - she was 35, as hard and heartbreaking as it was I cannot imagine it being my child. No little person should have to go through so much.

  9. Praying so hard for Lucy! I noticed that drs suspect meningitis.. 5 yrs ago my daughter was very ill and on strong IV antibiotics for 3 days until tests confirmed she had MRSA(discovered it's rampant in this area now). She has walked a walk so many of us never will. She knows what it is to be held by you, Lord. She will serve you well - just heal her and let her shine Your light! She has taught me so much. Just think of what she has to teach all that meet her in her long lifetime. Lord, we lift this family up and ask that you cover them with Your love today.

  73. Praying and praying!!

    Kate, I know this is hard but try to rebuke fear and claim God's promise of health and healing for Lucy.

    Isaiah 53:5
    But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
    the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
    and by his wounds we are healed.

    Isaiah 58:8-9
    Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
    and your healing will quickly appear;
    then your righteousness will go before you,
    and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
    Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
    you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

    Pray these verses over Lucy and hang in there.

    Kate - while i have read and reread every one of your posts for over a year, i have never responded on the blog. I have told others of lucy's story, i have talked w/ my family (my mom and dad are paul and maxine rickard who live next to your grandparents), but your news now leads me to let you know that i am praying without ceasing for lucy and your family. only another mother can even begin to comprehend the absolute fear and horror when our sweet children are attacked; i stand in the gap for you when you are too overwhelmed to stand, i stand in agreement with you that our God is a loving and awesome God who is carrying your family through this valley to come out on the other side with Him victorious. You are not alone, we are all part of the same family, and just know that your family is covered w/ God's grace and our prayers. Lori Rickard Webb

  186. Heavenly Father, we know that you are ever present with Lucy and her family, your beloved children. Please heal Lucy in accordance with your divine plan. We ask that through your grace and mercy you deliver Lucy from all suffering and pain, that you bring this sweet child your peace and love. Lord, we ask that you hold Lucy, Ella, Jack, Kate, and Erik very close to you and keep each one safe and in your care. We especially pray that you protect and comfort Ella as only you can. May your will be done. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
