Halloween at LeBonheur

Making the most of a bad situation...

Oh my goodness.  Have I mentioned that I LOVE these nurses.  And this little girl, too.

And this is our very special friend Mario, um Brandy.  She recently asked Lucy to be the flower girl in her wedding.  Lucy is beyond excited and it will be such a special day.  We love you Brandy.

  1. Those were all nurses dressed up?!!? What an awesome way to bring Hallowe'en to kids who can't get it otherwise. Lucy the Octopus is adorable, of course.

  5. I too spent a Halloween at LeBonheur with my grand-daughter last year. The nurses were awesome. They dressed up and did a reverse trick or treat by bringing candy and little goodies to all the kids. I was so upset that Chloe was sick and missing out on the fun...not getting to dress up and not feeling very sporty to boot. The first group arrived and it caught us off guard....I cried...cried that this place had such thoughtful and wonderful people working there that they would do this for the kids there. It was such a sweet gesture and Chloe immediately and for thise short visits forgot that she was sick and felt normal again. It's something I will remember the rest of my days. What a wonderful facility LeBonheur is and how lucky we are to have it in our backyards! I'm beyond thrilled that your Lucy is perking up. She looks wonderful. Love her octopus costume...too stinkin cute!

  6. Another reason to love LeBonheur! I saw pictures of the cardiology clinic staff (even some of the doctors!) and they were dressed as life sized potato heads! It was awesome. Almost made me wish we had an appointment. Lol! Almost...
So, so glad that Lucy is at home and on the mend.

  9. Love the costume you made, so creative!! The nurses have such big hearts and there's no doubt that they help instill kindness, generosity, and so many positive traits in Lucy and the other children...what a special group of people you're surrounded by :)
