Just Another Day

It was just another day in the life of, well, our life. Jack and I loaded up and headed to Memphis with our friends Cissy and Tip.  We had some errands to run to finish preparing for our big school fundraiser that's this weekend.  We do a big Spaghetti dinner and auction and it always consumes so much time the few weeks before.  So, we thought it was a great idea to run to Memphis with the boys in tow.  Fortunately, they were wonderful and we had a great day.  As a fun reward for their good behavior we took them to Kids Play and they climbed and bounced until they were just pooped!

Tip's birthday is tomorrow so we "celebrated" with a gluten free pizza at Mellow Mushroom--YUM!  Jack wasn't too happy that he couldn't run around the restaurant.

While we were riding home, Jack fell asleep and when he woke up he had a little fever.  We knew a nice sinus infection was brewing, but today things took a turn for the the worse.  A quick doctor's visit sent us home with Prednisone and instructions for breathing treatments.  Fun times!

I'm embarrassed to share this, but I thought you might need a laugh tonight.  So, while I was in Target today I grabbed some dish washing tabs....or so I thought.

Come to find out, you can't put laundry detergent in the washing machine.  Yep.  I'm a genius!

  1. Lol about the wrong soap. :P I haven't done that but I can see how easy it is to do it.

    Praying Jack feels better soon.

  2. You might run an empty dishwasher cycle with vinegar. It will help break up any residue ( it is not a bad idea to do this from time to time anyway)

  3. Too funny about the soap. I know it was aggravating for a moment...but look at the laughter it brought!

    Feel better soon Jack.

  4. Praying Jack feels better soon! Poor little guy looks so pitiful!

Don't feel too bad about mixing up the soaps! A couple of years ago, my daughter was, about 17......and she did the exact same thing! On the bright side, the kitchen floor got a GREAT cleaning!

Wish one of her friends would make the same mistake.....the floor sure needs a good cleaning. :-\

    Have a great day!

  5. Hi Kate! I have prayed for you guys for almost 2 years!! You are a rock and a blessing to many of those you have not met. I have a little boy after two precious girls. He has some breathing issues as well. I just came across eucalyptus oil. Do some research on it. I have a pot burning on stove every morning and when he comes home from school. I put it on a towel next to his bed (when he has a flare up)and it has been a blessing to us this year. Continued health and blessings to the Krulls':)

  6. Never done that with the dish washing soap but we only buy the liquid kind for dish washers anyways.

  7. I ran out of dishwashing soap ONCE years ago - (you only try this once!) and put in a tiny squirt of liquid soap - same issue you had - it just bubbled and bubbled seemingly forever. Maybe that is one bit of advice I could give new brides! LOL!

  8. Hope Jack is feeling better very soon! It's probably this crazy, crazy weather bouncing around. As for the dishwasher (BTDT). On one hand, what a mess! On the other hand, your dishes have never looked whiter. Ha!
    Have a great day~

  9. Oh no -- that's a mess. We don't have a dishwasher so I can't share a horror story but my husband once washed his hands with hand lotion for a week because my aunt had confusing lotion/soap containers. Confusing to my husband at least :) Everyone makes mistakes.

And I hope Jack feels better so soon. Poor guy :(

  10. HAHA, I have tried to use Dawn dish soap when I ran out of cascade and I had the same results! Don't try that either, HAHA. I look at it like you also get to mop your floor at the same time. Hope Lil Jack gets well soon and it doesn't go through your whole family.
