My mother is from Germany, so when...We do this too! My mother is from Germany, so when we were little she had us put our shoe outside our bedroom door, in the morning we had German chocolates and gummy bears (she had her family send them by parcel bc you couldn't buy them in the States back then, especially the Kinder Chocolate.) Now, I hang a stocking on each of my children's bedroom doors and in the morning they have treats and small toys from Saint Nicholas. They get so excited! MERRY CHRISTMAS! My sisters and I would stick our shoes by the front door on Dec 5th, and when we woke up, we had candy inside our shoes! It is hanging on the fridge open to June right now.
