Kristie's Site

I have been made aware that kristie's address has already reached the hands of more people than I imagined.

With that being said, you can find their Caring Bridge site by searching for Kristietollett. It's all one word. I encourage you to leave her a message and let her know you are praying for her family.

If you don't have something nice to say to her PLEASE don't visit her site.

----I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing comments you guys left concernning Justin and his family.  I continually feel blessed to have such wonderful friends.  If you don't find your comment posted, its because I deleted any comments with emails on them.  I just didn't want anyone grabbing your email address because, well, you just never know!

  1. Seriously, who leaves mean comments on people's caringbridge sites or any blogs for that matter. Just ridiculous. I'm a frequent yet anonymous reader, but I can't handle mean people. I have to believe that this person just needs Jesus more than we can imagine. I hope you can believe the promises of God more than you believe the mean words this person writes. God hears your prayers and mourns when you mourn and rejoices when you rejoice. You can believe that.

  2. I do not understand this unkind person. It makes me sick to my stomach that someone would behave this way on a blog about a family who has a child with cancer. It is sad what our world has become.

I follow your blog faithfully. I can't imagine what you go through every day, and I commend you.

    Take care

  3. How unimaginable that anyone could use a platform like this to offer anything other than encouragement and support. I pray that the outpouring of LOVE , support, prayer and encouragement would overwhelm both you, Kristi, and any other family that is having to walk this road. I also pray that the heart of someone who could say such hurtful things would be transformed by God. My you and yours be comforted and blessed.

  5. Wow!!! It makes me unbelieveably sad that someone would be so un-kind and evil to say horrible things on ANYONE'S BLOG, much less someone who is suffering. They obviously need tons of prayer because they are suffering with something I cannot comprehend. Thanks for sharing your heart!

  7. Hi Kate, I read your blog often...you are a classy lady to not bash this person as you could and to simply refer to them as "unkind". I can't imagine what kind of pain and suffering they are going through in their personal life to need to lash out at a mother with a sick child online. I pray for Lucy, and I will pray for this unkind person as well. God bless you. Kelly

  8. Ok, I am just speechless. I read your earliest post and was balling. I cannot imagine what you are going through. I keep you all in my prayers. My husband survived childhood cancer and now is a 46 year old man.

I don't mean this to come across as rude to you - but there has to be a special place in hell for someone to leave you or your friends hateful messages. I think you do a wonderful job of keeping it together and taking care of your three children.

I will continue to keep you and your friends in my prayers.

  10. I have only been reading your blog for a short time, but just wanted you to know how it blesses me each time I read a post. Even in your hours of distress over Lucy's illness, you seem to be the one uplifting others. Thank you! I pray for God's blessings on you and your family and pray that he continues to provide healing to Lucy!

  11. WOW!!! Kate you are amazing! Unkind would NOT be the word I would use and my flesh starts boiling thinking about anyone being hurtful to you or any other parent going through this. My flesh wants to tear into that person but my spirit says no and so I will pound that person with prayer! Out of the ashes comes beauty. Hopefully God will set this person on "fire" for Him and in return become the beautiful creature God intended for them. Kate, we pray for you all often. My heart goes out to you. Reading your post about Jerry and Kristie made me ache, truly ache. We will continue to lather you and your family (Justin's too) with prayer. Prayer of healing, for protection from the wicked, for peace that only He can bring. HUGS!!!

  12. Praying for your family, and for the goodness and joy of God to change whomever is leaving the evil comments. These blogs should be a source of strength, not stress!

  13. I have been following Justin Tollett's story since our friend Nora Pu was diagnosed and met the Tollett family at St. Jude. I have read Kristie's journal entries for months and have just now found your site and your sweet daughter. I so appreciate your journal entry regarding the day of Justin's funeral. I have healthy children and faith in God, but for some reason, Justin's battle and Kristie's faith have hit me at the core. I cried when I read the post regarding Justin's passing. I cried when I thought about how a heartbroken they must be. I cried when my next thought was thanking God that it's not my child. Thank you for your raw emotion and for offering me peace of mind that Kristie and Jerry will survive this horrible time. I will pray for your sweet daughter and family. Prayers to you all for happy moments, fearless days, and peace.

  15. I am thankful that you keep your blog open despite hurtful comments, I have never met you and probably never will, but know this; I pray for Lucy & your family each day. Every time I hear the Christina Perri song on the radio, I stop and immediately think of you! I share your story with many of my co-workers and we're all rooting for you! Lots of love from NC and the nurses in the Neuroscience ICU at UNC Hospitals!

  16. Wow that's so sad. I too am a frequent anonymous reader who has fallen in love with ur blog! What ever happened to, "if u don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". ..?

  17. We live in a cruel world where some people delight in being incredibly mean...because they can be and because they don't care since it isn't them. As someone else mentioned, you are classy to handle it so well. Isn't it nice that the Lord keeps score and we don't have to? As a mother, I cannot fathom your pain. We do not know each other but I check in regularly and pray regularly for Lucy and all of you, and all other children like Justin and his family. Please Jesus, rapture us soon so the suffering of children and their families will end!

  18. I continue to pray for your Lucy and for Justin's family now, think of Lucy so often. I agree with Darlene about this nasty person, what goes around comes around. Lucy looks wonderful and I hope she gets stronger everyday.

  20. Praying that comfort, peace, courage, strength and God's loving presence forever surround your family and Justin's family. I pray especially for Justin's mom, that her memories of Justin be of the love and joy he brought.

Praying also for the mental health of those who seek gratification in hatefulness, especially hatefulness to those who already carry the heaviest burden, that of a sick child.

Much love to you and to Justin's family. Sending you thoughts and prayers across the miles.

  21. I too am still trying to wrap my mind around the idea that someone would leave evil comments on the blog of the mother of a child with cancer! omg... I don't even know what to say.

Continuing prayers for Lucy, for you, for the whole family, for Justin, and for his family.
