Labor Day Fun

** Don't forget to read HERE about Bounty and a chance to help your school!**

With Ella's birthday excitement behind us, we spent the holiday with Erik's parents.  We had a great time just relaxing around the house, riding bikes and getting to know our new puppy.

Labor Day ten years ago I was in actual labor.  Today, I watched my three labors of love as they played, laughed and made me smile.

Ella spent some time working on her inner scientist while making slides of things from the yard and studying them under her microscope.  She is such her Father's child!  And then everyone collapsed from sheer exhaustion.

Over the weekend we took our last trip to the lake and were unfortunately greeted by several nasty thunderstorms.  Saturday was beautiful but Sunday was a bit of a wash.  We took Copper with us and he was so wonderful; he is the best puppy with the sweetest disposition.  I never thought I would be a dog person but I am falling head over heels for this bundle of fur.

As you can tell from the pictures below, Lucy lived up every moment on the lake Saturday and then finally succumbed to a nap.  Bless her heart she goes as hard as she can and then just crashes.   Lucy's scans are Wednesday of this week and of course, we are a little anxious.  I feel confident that things are going to be OK, but I'm ready to have this week behind us.

I enjoyed spending time with my family this weekend, especially my little sister.  We have the best time when we are together and always find something stupid to laugh about.  She is such an awesome person and I just love her to death.  She was talking about our "gang" bandannas and I said I was in the Gang of Love.  She's in the Sunshine Gang.  I'm sure it's only funny to us, but I just love this picture.

Thank you for the prayers that you are saying for Lucy this week.  I will never be able to express my gratitude.
