One of the most "normal" things that we do around our home is bath time. This singular event was the one thing I honestly missed most while Lucy was sick. Bath time in our house is about laughing, singing, and pure silliness. Erik turns on his i-Pod and the girls and Jack sing and dance. Bath time has always been a big deal to the kiddos. I am so very thankful to have this "normal" back in our lives.
(and a brag on my husband....for almost 9 years, Erik has done bath time every night. He's pretty awesome like that.)
Cannot believe how well Lucy looks , her sweet little face is full of life, praise be to god!!!!

ReplyDeleteOh, It is so nice to see such a bright smile on Lucy's face. These are such cute pictures of your kids. Ella looks just like you, I am sure you hear that daily, I would love to see a picture of you at that age because I bet you two could have passed as twins. So good to see all the smiles from such a deserved family.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Glad to see all the kids are feeling better, and LOVE Lucy's fuzzy little head. ;-)

ReplyDeleteMy son and daughter use to do bath time together and totally loved it until the day my son pooped in the bath. :( My daughter screamed and that was the last of bath time together as she refused to ever get in the tub with him. ;P
Always praying for Lucy,

ReplyDeleteHi Kate, I have never posted a comment before but I am a faithful follower. I read your blog daily. You have 3 beautiful children and Lucy looks great. She look like she has put on weight and is bright eyed again. Still praying for your family
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that could just tear up seeing snapshots of this wonderfully normal activity? What a gift normal can be! Wow, Lucy looks fabulous, and the other two are none too shabby either! ;) Tonight I'll thank God for a little girl named Lucy that I do not know.
ReplyDeleteThat last picture of Lucy says it all! May He bless you with many more bath times in the future....
ReplyDeleteBless her sweet heart! Lucy looks soooo good, and that smile of hers just makes my heart so very happy! What beautiful, simple, happy moments, of 3 precious children in a bath tub, having fun! It is so good to see every day normal things in your household. Enjoy each and every one of them. Before I go to sleep, I always send up a special prayer for Lucy, and thank God for watching over her, my special friend, that I have never met in person, but who none the less lives in my heart!

Such sweet kiddos!!! LOVE that hair Lucy is getting =) Loving that "normal" in your lives again! Bless your family! As I read your blog-almost daily-I really sit back and realize how blessed we all are but especially having strong healthy kids. Im truly blessed and your blogs help me reiterate that in my life...THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteLook at that hair, would you!?!?! These are such great pictures & I love how you savor the small things of life! You & your family have "re-taught" me to never take those kinds of things for granted...it's so easy to forget about that, but you just never know how important they really are. THANK YOU!!
