Prayers Needed Tonight

Dear Friends,

I am writing tonight to ask for prayer for two young friends. Ava, who I have mentioned so many times before, has relapsed. Her MRI showed that her cancer is back and unfortunately they don't have a good game plan.

Our new friend Mason will be having scans tomorrow morning at 8:00. Please stop what you are doing and please pray that his cancer has not returned. His life is very fragile right now and he needs to keep fighting.

Here is what you can pray:

1. Pray that both sets of parents and families will have peace, understanding and wisdom for the future.

2. Pray for complete healing for both children. Pray that the God of miracles will place His hand upon both children.

3. Pray for the doctors. Pray that God will reveal to them the right path for treatment.

I am heartbroken tonight. I am consumed with guilt for carving pumpkins with my family tonight while two families have lives hanging in the balance. I am numb with sadness for Ava and her family. I am scared for her parents. I am sick
to my stomach as I think about Mason's parents waiting on his scans results tomorrow.

Cancer is evil and nothing about this is fair. I am crying out to the Lord right now for mercy and healing. I just wish there was something more I could do.

Please pray. Pray with urgency my friends.

  3. I have followed your blog for a few years now. I will continue to pray daily for all of these precious children with this horrible nasty evil. I said a prayer this morning especially for Ava & Mason and their doctors and families. I just can't begin to imagine the pain.

  4. I don't think you can stop living your life with your family when other families are suffering. Your family needs your strengths and courage and love.

Prayers are sent to the other families.

  7. Praying for Ava and Mason and their families. I also continue to pray for your entire family. Kate - you must never feel guilty because you are spending time with your children and family. You are faithful about praying for all these children, you do everything you can to bring awareness to pediatric cancer, you feed the hospital - I also know that is easier said than done - Be blessed Kate - you all are the best

  8. Prayers for both of them, and Lucy, too. I pray nightly that God will guide the researchers to a cure for all forms of cancer. It's horrid!

  14. Kate,
I am with you Halloween has never been my favorite holiday, BUT for the obvious reasons my children loved it, your children all looked so cute. Even determined Jack ( so handsome). I know you probably hear this from thousands of people but I am sure it is a natural thing to feel guilty celebrating while others are in such pain, however everyone's life continued on when you were at your lowest point in life it is just something that has to happen. I have also felt that at times and been on the other side of it and thought, " How can they just go on when I am hurting so bad)? You are truly an amazing person and even though I have never met you, you give me so much inspiration to be a better person! Thank you,
