Wow! From the mouth of a 6 year old. Well, do you know God? If you don't I'd love to encourage you to attend a Christian church tomorrow as we all celebrate the resurrection of Christ. There is so much to celebrate on Easter Sunday. Most importantly being the realization that without Jesus's death on the cross we would not have the promise of eternal life.
ANYONE can come to know God. It's really easy. No matter what you have done in your life, no matter what mistakes you think you have made. God is a forgiving God, a loving God. He created you to want Him. You will never feel whole, you will never feel complete until you come to know God. So, if this sounds like something you are interested in I pray that you will seek out a Bible teaching church and join in a fellowship of believers. It's a pretty awesome deal. Remember, Christians aren't perfect. We're just forgiven!
Hey, for that matter, shoot me an email. I'd love to chat with you about how cool it is to be a Christian!
Romans 10:9 "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you WILL be saved."
Happy Easter everyone! I am about to go hide 120 plastic eggs filled with glow sticks for a super cool night time egg hunt. Oh, and there's also an Easter pinata that is filled to the brim that is going to meet its fate at the hands of 7 screaming children. I'll post pictures tomorrow. It should be lots of fun.
I am so glad I know Jesus as my personal Savior! Have a blessed Easter with your family.

Lucy has been taught to know and love Jesus, and boldly shows it in her art. It is so obvious that she has been immersed in stories about Jesus and His love. She will certainly have a great testimony to share about Jesus, His love, and his healing power. I know you are so proud of her. I am continuing to pray for Lucy because I know she will soon be re-evaluated. My prayer is complete healing. Love, Pat Williams, a grandmother in Tuscaloosa
ReplyDeleteOh that is so sweet! :-) Out of the mouths of babes. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to have Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior! What an awesome God HE is! I am also excited to see photos of your egg hunt! I saw the glow stick idea on Pinterest and wanted to try it, but struck out locating glow sticks! I bet the children have had a super fun time. As we were coloring eggs I was reading Gail Gibbons book Easter to my son. It was talking about the egg being a symbol of new life and that coloring them and giving them as gifts was done to celebrate the beauties of spring and new life. I continue to pray for Lucy's complete healing. This is such a glorious time of year and I pray for wonderful moments for her.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family have a beautiful, memory filled Easter.
God bless,
Michelle
Kate, I followed your blog for a VERY long time. I want you take you up on your offer. I want to talk to you about how cool it is to be a Christian. I was raised in a church...I need to get back to one. Please guide me back.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, pure heart Lucy has and she knows the key to true happiness; Jesus Christ.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Resurrection Day! He is risen indeed!! Praise God!
Wow, the awesomeness of her wish that everyone would know God. Her wish is not to be healed, but that everyone would know God. Kate, your husband and you have surely shown God's love to her and your family and have truly been blessed. We will pray that her wish will come true and that she will be healed.
ReplyDeleteLucy is amazing on SO many levels!! How sweet & selfless to wish for everyone else when there are so many things she could wish for herself. Amazing that at 6 years old she can reflect Christ so well. You can see Jesus all over that sweet girl!!
ReplyDeleteAMEN AND AMEN FOR YOUR SWEET TESTIMONY LUCY AND KATE!!!! THE ONLY RELATIONSHIP THAT IS ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT DISAPPOINTMENTS IS THE ONE ALL ARE OFFERED THROUGH TRUSTING JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOR!
