Sweet Glory

I want to report that Lucy's CT today showed that her brain bleed seems to be healing on its own.  We are thrilled and ask that you continue to pray for complete healing.  She is still having a bit of a balance issues related to the bleed so we are watching her extra close while she's on her feet.  We will go back in 2 weeks for another CT.

On a much sadder note, my sweet, precious grandfather passed away Sunday morning,  There could have been no more perfect day for him to go to Glory than a Sunday morning.  I have so much I want to write about him while it is fresh on my mind.  The next two days I will be devoting all my time to my family, so I'm committing to spending some time on Thursday recording these thoughts that are flooding my mind.

He will be missed by so many.

  2. Kate, I am a local follower of your blog and a sister in Christ. I am thankful you share so much. It is a true testimony. I am glad Lucy is healing. Those rainbows the other day are something else arent they? Maybe one for Lucy and one for your grandfather. To us.. death involves so much pain in our hearts and grieves our very soul.. but we just aren't with God yet so that is all we know and I imagine we can't comprehend the joy that God feels when his own come Home.. and how amazing it must be to look upon our Lords face on that glorious day. I pray for your family, and I hope God gives you all peace. Rest in Him.

Such a sweet man...a wonderful example of all that is good. He was a dear friend to my husband's parents, the late W.K. and Sue Gordon. He will be missed.....

  15. I have a song recommendation for you -- if you are anything like me, music often helps me get through tough times. Listen to "When We're Gone, Long Gone" by Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt and Dolly Parton. Think it might be a fitting song to play as people read your posts later this week about your grandfather. Hope you find comfort in the wonderful memories you have of him..........you are very fortunate to have had him with you for so much of your adult life and for your children to know their great-grandfather..........truly, a gift.
