Fact: I have very dry skin. Fact: I very much dislike my dry skin. I have the kind of dry skin that makes me look two shades darker when I put on lotion. Fact: I hate to apply lotion. In fact, I hate to put on lotion more than I very much dislike my dry skin most of the time.
So, this obviously presents a conundrum for me. My dislike for lotion doesn't lie in the lotion itself, but more in the time it takes to apply it. I am usually so rushed to get out of the house that taking the extra 3 minutes to moisturize my legs seems too frivolous. This little unflattering tidbit about myself unfortunately means that more times than not I am scrounging around last minute looking for some way to moisturize my legs. I secretly love the winter because: 1) I don't have to shave very often and 2) I never have to use lotion. We all know we should use lotion, right? It's great for our skin, it keeps us looking young and our body needs all the moisture it can get.
I trust and love you guys so much that I just posted a before and after picture of my feet. My feet, for Pete's sake!! My little sausage toes said "thank you" for the yummy drink of moisture. Oh, and this was several hours after my morning application of Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer Total Moisture. What I love about it is that Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer is an allover body spray, and it absorbs in 10 seconds or less. That means you really can spray, rub in and get dressed. Carry it in your purse or beach bag and you have an instant moisturizer while you are loading the kids up in the car. Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer Total Moisture is also chock full of oat extract and it never leaves you feeling sticky or greasy. I will surely have to try this spray and go, because I have a hard time finding lotion that doesn't make me feel greasy or sticky. Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteAwwww... you have cute little sausage toes!
ReplyDeleteWell your post certainly makes me want to try this! I had no idea they even made it. I'm going to snatch me up some ASAP!! What a great thing to carry in my purse.
ReplyDeleteI suffer badly from eczema...the problem I have is that the key to keeping it under control is to moisturize a lot. Being a busy Mom of 3, I am very lazy at doing this and then the eczema cycle begins. This spray and go sounds like it could be a very quick and easy choice to make my moisturizing into more of a routine. Thanks for the recommendation :)
ReplyDeleteI have horrible dry skin...and most lotions make me uncontrollably itchy...maybe I'll give this a shot...can't hurt!
ReplyDeleteNice! Since my hands spend too much time in bleach water, they have become dry and scaly. The only thing that works is cold cream but it is so greasy. I might just give Vaseline spray a try if they sell it in Canada. Thanks for sharing this tip.
ReplyDeleteBlessings.
Thank you!!! I did not know about this and I have horrible dry skin also and have no patience to put on moisturizer - I dont know why. I am on my way to Walgreens after work to buy this!! I will let you know how it works. I read you blog everyday.I love hearing about you and your kids.
ReplyDeleteI, much like you, have really dry skin. My legs are nice an scaly, but I also hate the process of applying lotion! I only get around to doing it maybe once a month...maybe! This spray on lotion would be fantastic to leave in the bathroom and just spray on real quick after a shower! I'm going to have to go and pick some up! Thanks for the post...my legs appreciate it! :)
ReplyDeleteThis product looks GREAT. I have really dry skin so I am going to give this a try! I would love to use this each morning after my morning walk/shower as I am ready to start the day!!
ReplyDeleteTotally amused by those that think they have "very" dry skin and can forgo lotion and look bad. I do have very dry skin. If I fail to put on lotion every 8 hours or so my skin hurts. It generally looks awful - mosturizer or not. I have never found a vaseline product - except straight petroleum jelly - that worked. I a, not holding out much hope for this one. Listening to you ladies talk about dry skin makes all those commercials make sense to me now though. Lol
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this stuff. Huge time saver. With 3 kids I need every second I can spare
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to buy this spray lotion. I use lotion twice a day because I have extremely dry skin and think this would be great! Maybe I'll remember to buy some the next time I'm at the store!
ReplyDeleteI have seen the commercials, but was hesitant to try it because it seemed too good to be true. I have serious eczema on my legs, and lotioning up is not convenient for me with my kids. I barely get a shower on most days. I will definitely be picking up a bottle and giving it a try. I mean, nobody likes their feet and if you'll share a picture of yours on here, then it's gotta be good, right?! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI have to try this! I'm always running out the door in the mornings with the kids and I appreciate any time saving tips I came across. Love this idea as it reminds me of spray sunblock which I use every day. So much quicker and less messy. Thanks Kate!
ReplyDeleteI am an 8th grade teacher. I get up every morning, take my dogs for a run, feed them, get ready for work, and head out the door...all before 6:45 AM. I hate putting on regular lotion, as it takes too long to smooth it in, and I'm just ready to go. I think the Vaseline spray on lotion would be easy and quick!
ReplyDeleteI have super dry skin. Even when I put on lotion my skin looks dry. This would save so much time in the morning getting ready for school. It would be great.
ReplyDeleteI also hate sticky, greasy or smelly lotion. I would love to speed up getting ready without having to stop and rub in lotion, then clean my hands and then continue getting ready. It would also be nice to spray on my feet at bed, pull on some socks and let it moisturize all night. I am excited to try this now that I saw the before and after of your toes!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI too have really dry skin. This would save tons of time!
ReplyDeleteI love lotion, but only lotion that is easy to apply. I would love this product!
ReplyDeleteI have to moisturize daily so I'd love this to save time.
ReplyDeleteI hate to have lotion on my hands so this saves me step having to wash it off after moisturizing my legs.
ReplyDeleteThe Vaseline Spray would make my legs silky and smooth, preparing me to take on the day with confidence. :)
ReplyDeleteI would use this after shaving my legs in the shower.
ReplyDeleteThis would maximize my day by helping the process of moisturizing go more quickly, also, I have SUPER dry skin so this would be wonderful.

I have tried everything and only had luck with some horrible smelling stuff called Professional Nurses Lotion. This would be a welcome addition if it works as good as you say it does!
ReplyDeleteIt would save me so much time.
ReplyDeleteI'm a mom to 2 as of last week, so I could use all the simplifying and streamlining I can get! This looks like a great idea.

It would save so much time with my skin routine, it's been so dry lately and nothing seems to be working.
ReplyDeleteI will soon be a mother to 4 (currently 5 months prego, on my way to EE to bring our daughter home, and have 2 boys!) so this would free up a lot of time for me! i lotion every day b/c i, like you, have super dry skin! This would be perfect!

ReplyDeleteWell, I would easily be able to put on lotion and not have to wait to put on clothes until after it soaks in and dries. That would definitely save some time.

It would make it easy to moisturize, which I don't do as much as I should because it leaves my hands greasy. This spray would be ideal!

ReplyDeleteObviously, I am lazy! I meant to post weeks ago and never got around to it! That's kinda how I do with lotion! I know I need to/want to, but I just never get to it! I would LOVE a spray lotion! I think I can handle that!! :)
