Breathe

I'm so close.  I can almost do it easily.  Breathe, that is.  So very, very close.  This has been the busiest week I've had in two years and I have LOVED every minute of it.  Christmas programs, Christmas parties, last day of school, dinner for LeBonheur.  I'm so tired and I'm very ready for a break, but this "busyness" is what I've been longing for for almost 2 years!

Everything is not perfect, but things are much better for our family right now.  Lucy still struggles in different areas and we face new challenges each week, but she is getting to live a "normal" life right now and that's all we can ask for.  I am as excited for Christmas as the children are.  Last year was so heavy and sorrowful---I just want to forget it.  I am so thankful for the place to which God has brought us.  This really has been a very Merry Christmas season.

Here are pictures from the girls' Christmas parties today.  I am so very thankful for our school, where the children celebrate the real reason for the season.

It is such a blessing to see these pictures of your family getting to do the "normal" Christmas events with your kids! Our hearts have been filled with joy for you guys as we have watched the Great Physician work absolute miracles in your life! Have a wonderful Christmas! Nathan and Amy Pellegra

Is it my eyes or is Lucy putting on weight? If my eyes aren't deceiving me HOORAY!! And if my eyes are deceiving me, she looks gorgeous regardless! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing.

  11. My heart is full for you, Kate... God has given you a sense of peace and rest, and you wear it so beautifully. We still pray for "Lucy in Memphis" every night, and I know that we are not alone in this prayer... He hears us all, and my faith is strengthened by your family as He answers our prayers. Continue to lean on Him, and as always, thank you for sharing your beautiful family, and for your Christian example.

    Merry Christmas, Krull Family!!
    Hugs,

  14. I am just so very thankful that you can post this, Kate. I know it's not like it was before (your normal has changed), but it's so good that you can breathe again. I'm having one of those sorrowful Christmases. :( The loss of my MIL earlier this month, my son's scary illness last week, and some financial stuff....I have so much to be thankful for, but I'm just sad this year. I know God is with me.

I hope you all have a GLORIOUS Christmas!

    God Bless~

  15. I know what you mean, but as a parent - i figure, I can rest when they are all grown up and I have memories to enjoy. Then I can sit and watch them make memories.
