Lucy the Duckmaster

Friday night, September 9th, Lucy had the distinct opportunity to be the assistant Duckmaster at The Peabody hotel.  A huge thank you to Ms. Rene for setting this up for her.  My sister and her husband and Maddie were there along with my parents, Erik's parents, Amanda and the kids, Sarah and the kids, Ms. Cindy D, my Aunt Carolyn and Uncle John, Ms. Rene and Cindy and her husband Mark.  Our new St. Jude friends, the Goods, were also there.

Right before we got started I looked over and saw Lucy crying.  When she finally calmed down she told us she was nervous.  Sweet girl!  Once I assured her she had to do nothing but smile she was instantly relieved.  She did a great job and even walked around the fountain without assistance.

Afterwards we all went to dinner downtown.  Lucy was tired and Jack was cranky, but we ended up having a nice time.  The girls even roasted smores at the table.

Afterwards we went on a carriage ride in one of those Cinderella carriages.

What a wonderful night!  There were some great memories made and I was so grateful to spend the evening with family and friends.
