Fun Friday--Prayer Requests

It's that time again.  Fun Friday.  Where, oh where, did a whole week go?  I have really enjoyed these past few weeks and although it takes me some time to go through each of the posts, I do try my best to read them all.

This week I wanted to do something a little different.  You guys have spent so much time in prayer for Lucy and our family over the past 20 months.  I wanted to give you all an opportunity to share prayer requests of your own.  I can attest to the healing power of prayer and I hope you will all take the time to share any requests you might have.

You do not have to have a blog of your own to do this!!  I love that everyone will have the opportunity to participate in this topic.  When I told her what tomorrow's topic was, my BFF Amanda said that sometimes you feel better when you just have someone to talk to.  So, that's what this is about.  Someone to talk to.  Someone to share your burden with. As a blog family we can lift each other up in prayer and I hope that is just what you all will do.  If there is a link to a specific request that you can share, please feel free to leave a blog or website address along with your prayer request.

  1. Please pray for Wren Horn and family. She's a mother of 3 who went home today with hospice care. She was diagnosed last year with colon cancer. It's been a long year and the cancer just won't quit. Unless God intervenes in a miraculous way she will be going to her new Heavenly home very soon. Google her name for more info. There are several sites devoted to keeping everyone informed.

  2. Please pray for 11 month old Johanna, the daughter of a friend of mine. She has just been diagnosed with cancer of the kidneys. She has what is called a Wilm's tumour, and what makes her case unique is that she has them on both kidneys. This cancer has a 60-80% chance of being treated. Please pray that Johanna is in that 60-80%. Also please pray for her three year old sister and her parents. Thank you.

  10. Dear Friends in Christ,
I will be praying over each one of these prayer request as they have touched me deeply. May the love of God bring peace of mind and understanding to many and may his healing touch restore each child of God to perfect health and to keep us walking in the right path of God in our daily lives. Thank you for sharing, I know many are in the same place as I am needing the power of prayer to surround and blanket our families. This blog will allow us to pray for one another and be united in a greater friendship through our Savior. I'm asking for a prayer of healing to my Fathers weak and frail heart, my aunts diabetic condition that is keeping her on dialysis, my sister in laws breast cancer to remain in remission, for my 18 yr old daughter to deliver a healthy baby boy in December and continue to be able to finish high school, for my severe chronic pain with fibro and lumbar back pain from surgery and severe depression from not being able to work for 2 yrs and to guide my husband and I through our financial stress over this all.

  12. To #89 who has panic attacks while driving, I have had this problem too, and it is really frightening and severely limiting. I have not done this course, but may still look into it, so I cannot recommend it, but it might be a start for you. I am not affiliated with it in any way.

I hope you can get some help with this.

  13. I think it's too late to make the list, but if anyone sees this I would really appreciate prayers. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 9 years. We finally got our very first positive pregnancy test in May after our 4th IVF, only to lose our baby a month later when I was 8 weeks along. We plan to try IVF one last time next month and pray that God blesses us with a baby or babies to bring home with us this time to raise to His glory. We've stumped all the doctors, why we haven't been successful and this has been a heart breaking, soul-crushing journey. If we are not to become parents, we pray for peace and understanding with God's Plan.

  14. Hi,

I have been following your sweet angels story. She is such an inspiration to me, to my family. She is proof that our God is a miracle working God. How I love to join in praise with you to Him for what I have read in your blog about your beautiful miracle Lucy. I Pray God continues to use your Lucy's story to reach those that need Him. You as a Mom are also such a inspiration and blessing to my heart. Thank you for allowing me to follow your family's story and I feel honored to call you my sister in Christ. I don't have a blog but I wanted to ask you to please pray for my daughter Bailey Grace. Without going into all the details, our God knows the needs. Please join me in lifting her to God's throne and please ask your Mom, as well as others to pray for her as well. She has had seizures since birth, has now developed some problems with her legs, arms and some other health problems. Please pray for wisdom and direction for her doctors to identify what is causing her health problems, as well as how to treat them effectively. She has been through so much in her few short years. She has been such a blessing to my life and I love her so much. I'm so very concerned about her. Please pray for a miracle for my angel. I am currently having to homeschool her, please also pray God gives me strength and wisdom in caring for her. Please pray that He will guide me in being the best Mommy I can be for her, she deaerves the best! Please also pray God leads us to the right physicians to diagnose and care for her. Thank you for your time and your friendship. May God continue to pour His blessings, His healing, upon Lucy's life, upon your family's lives. You have a beautiful family!

    In Gods love,
    Donna

  15. [Kate: Praying for you all. May I share this request of mine? Lord bless.]

A Christian minister with a broken heart asks for prayer for his
only child - a wayward daughter on the West Coast of the US who's been
living with an older man. On Sep. 24th she is having surgery to save her
life from what appears to be cancer. PLEASE PLEASE pray that Jolene
will survive and finally be drawn to Jesus! (The same minister has an
aneurysm near his heart that needs a healing miracle.)
