We (YOU!) Did It

Lucy loved the face painting booth the most!
Well the race is over.  We all survived.  It was an amazing experience and one that I will never forget.  Last year's race was covered with a blanket of sadness, fear and grief.  This year, we celebrated Lucy's life, the hospital that started her recovery process, and the hundreds of friends (new and old) who have prayed for us daily since Feb 23, 2011.

I'll be posting pictures once I get copies (I didn't even pretend to take pictures Saturday).  This year, I worked!  And enjoyed every single minute of it.  I can say this, our goal was to raise $15,000 for LeBonheur.  I am so pleased to announce that we topped $20,000!!!  Our family is just blown away.  We really are so very grateful.

So, if you missed this year's race I hope you will join us next year.  It is a wonderful event and it supports such a wonderful hospital.  I can't wait to tell you more about the race, but right now I have work to do at home.  The race took so much of my time and energy the past few weeks that I've neglected a lot of things around here.  Including my sweet husband :)

Thanks again to you all.  All you runners, walkers, stroller pushers, spirit supports and prayer warriors!

Still praying here on the West Coast. (planning in sending you a picture of my friend and I in our shirt once it arrives;)

This is floating around our wonderful city of Seattle and I thought of Lucy. Her fight is amazing and God has a special plan for your angel.
