Fire Alarms

Oh this precious child.  How could this angel cause so much trouble?  In an act of total innocence, he pulled the fire alarm at school today.  Our school and church is attached and the church was hosting a funeral meal today.  So, right in the middle of this mournful time, the mind-numbingly loud alarm started blaring.  Does it make it worse that I was standing right beside Jack when he pulled it?

Pretty much sums up the hours he is awake in a day.

  2. Oh dear! One of those times you just want the ground to open up. A good friend who teaches kindergarten said she stopped playing the "colours" game. Hop like a frog and touch something green. Crawl like a baby and touch something red. Yikes! I love how he looks so innocent sleeping!

  3. Sweet boy, he's learning so much he can't contain himself. You'll make it through this. He looks so innocent in this precious picture. This will be a memory for the books!

  10. And yet when I read it, I thought, "What a fun little boy! I want to play with him." I had a boy; there is nothing like it!

I love sleeping child pictures; they are just too precious.

P.S. Please, please, please fix his car seat straps and chest clip. Very unsafe!

  18. My brother -- now a responsible 50 year old man -- did this when we were kids. We were on vacation and staying at a hotel that had facilities on both sides sides of a busy road. Both sides of the hotel evacuated. I recall being pretty small and hiding in our hotel room. And now, all these years later, it's a funny story! I's sure you will have a million to entertain Jack's future wife!

  19. Oh Kate,
I am sure you felt so bad but some day when he gets older and you are all setting around talking that will be a story you can tell him, even maybe when he has a child and he thinks his child is acting out you can bring that up to him. These are the kinds of stories that I have always waited to tell my children when they grew up. It is so hard to look at such an angelic face and be upset.

Oh me! Funny! My Sam at that age got his head stuck in a freezer at the grocery store, climbed a ladder at the dollar store that was left out....the stories could go on.

Then a wise lady at church told me these little curious fearless boys are future firefighters, policemen, soldiers snd inventors.

    She was right.

  21. I'm sorry but this just made my day. Welcome to the world of boys. Had it been my family member's funeral, we would have found it hilarious as well.
