Tonight we attended a Christmas Eve service at a local church. It wasn't "our" church, but what I realized when I was there was that it didn't matter. We were all there with the same purpose. Preparing our hearts for the celebration of the birth of our Savior. It was a wonderful service, followed by Christmas Eve dinner with my parents and brother.
The reindeer are fed and the children are snuggled tight in their beds.
Thank you ALL for being a part of our lives. I feel as if my family has grown in a unimaginable way this year. I wish you all the peace and blessings that only God can bring you in the years to come. May you all prosper and be blessed with good health. Thank you for loving our family.
Merry Christmas!
The photo of your family is just gorgeous. Happy holidays to all of you.

I did the same, visited a church on Christmas Eve. I had the same thought. I was in the house of God, celebrating with God's children the birth of the Prince of Peace, our savior. I stopped by at 10:00 a.m. in the midst of running errands, and I left blessed and enriched.
ReplyDeleteMay the new year bring God's amazing grace to your beautiful family.

ReplyDeleteHi, Kate! My name is Kay, and I have been following your blog since I first heard of Lucy's diagnosis. I learned about it on Facebook through some mutual friends. I live in Louisiana now, but we ( my family and I) lived in Memphis from 1985-1996. Coincidentally, we both know some of the same people. I have wanted to comment so many times, but didn't want to intrude, being someone you do not know. But.....my daughter lives in Memphis , is an OT at LeBonheur, and actually saw Lucy once or twice. She was so very impressed by your courage and faith in handling your unfortunate situation. I wanted you to know that even in Louisiana you have had many, many prayers going up for you, Lucy, and your entire family. My friends and church family have been lifting you guys up in our prayers for a long time. I check your blog at least twice daily to see how things are going. I am happy to see that Lucy is doing better, even though I know that she has a long way to go. I trust that God in his wisdom will take care of her! I just felt the need today to write you this little note. I will continue to pray for you and your family, and to check your blog daily for progress. God's love and concern is everywhere.....even from a stranger in Louisiana. Continue to have happy holidays and look forward to a new and better year in 2012. Oh.....and give Lucy a big hug from me if you wouldn't mind.
