If anyone deserves a wish come true it's Lucy. She'll have those memories to cherish for the rest of her life and when she has her own kids she can tell them the stories from her dream trip. Thank God for the people who make these possible and thank God for your little Lucy who has been an inspiration to thousands of people.
I've been reading your blog since Lucy's diagnosis when I think I was directed here by another blog to pray for her. I am a lurker and not sure I have ever posted, but have faithfully kept up with her from the state of SC. After reading your post about what someone said about her Make-A-Wish trip, I couldn't stay silent any longer. I just want you to know that I love this picture of Lucy and Minnie Mouse, and am so thankful that Lucy is to the point that she is in her cancer journey so she could go to Disney World with her family and be able to enjoy it! I think Make-a-Wish is such a fabulous organization that is able to meet different children's wishes that come from many different diagnoses and places in their lives. How anyone could begrudge someone like Lucy a trip of a lifetime is beyond me. I hope that she lives to be an old woman and will have this memory to look back on as a bright spot during this difficult time. I'm looking forward to hearing more about her adventures at Disney World, and will continue to keep your family in my prayers.
I am so happy that Lucy and your family were granted this wish. I hope it lifted all of your spirits! This is such a sweet picture that really moved me. I will continue praying for all of you, specifically for Lucy's appetite. May peace be with you. On a happier note, we are Pi Phi sisters! You have another angel on your side! :)
