So glad Lucy had a great first day of Kindergarten. She holds a special place in my heart (like the rest of your followers and more!), partially because I teach Kindergarten. :) If you ever need to chat school/Kinder/anything related, please always feel free to contact me. I'm sure her classmates just loved her, and her teacher, too! SO excited that she had a great day. :) Thanks for posting!
Oh my lovely LUCY!! Her outfit for back to school is adorable! I love all the happy colors and she is beautiful wearing it! It is amazing to see her headed to school after all she has been through this summer. What a miracle. Praise GOD! I am so glad she had a successful first day! And Jack, what a snuggle bug! Good night!!
Thankful for a great day today for sweet Lucy. She will be a leader and a wonderful helper this year. My daily prayers are that these days will turn into weeks and months as Lucy heals and regains her full strength. Praise the Lord for this miracle. He is amazing. Love to all, Pat Williams, a grandmother in Tuscaloosa
Good job Lucy, I had no doubt that this post would say that Lucy did wonderful, she is one amazing little girl. There are days when I am having a bad day and I just think about Lucy, it makes me realize if this little girl can go through what she has had to endure then I have no right to be down. Thank you Luch(and the whole Krull family) for helping change the life of so many. ***I wish that your family were not going through .
I'm so glad to hear that! I thought about her all night last night. My daughter goes to Brighton, so we were getting ready for her first day today. I can't imagine what you went through preparing for Lucy's first day. I'm so glad it went well :)
So glad the first day went well. :) And while Lucy looks adorable in her lovely outfit, Jack takes the prize. I could just hug him he is so cute! My daughter says "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww". lol. (she loves little kids in those one-piece sleeper outfits....well, actually she loves little kids period. But she says they're especially cute in sleepers.)
Anyway.... a hug to Lucy, and a double hug to Jack. :)
(and of course to Ella too...I'm happy she had a good first day.)
As a retired first grade teacher (33 years of fun craziness) I hope you don't mind if I leave you with some comforting words about your decision to have Lucy repeat kindergarten. In no way should you ever regret that decision. You have, in fact, given her a gift.... a gift to be less stressed, a gift for her to feel better about herself, a gift of slowing it all down and letting her enjoy once again the joy and magic of kindergarten. First grade, although also very joyous, is a big step from kindergarten and the expectations are often more demanding. She doesn't need that and neither do you. I am thrilled that she had such a wonderful first day of school! May they continue! Continuing to send healing thoughts your way~
