Jack is a Busy Boy

This past weekend Jack made three big discoveries.  First, were the Mega-Blocks and the toy chest:

And my budding Beethoven discovered that we have our very own piano in our living room.....

It was a very messy and loud Saturday morning.  In other news, Lucy discovered that she liked chocolate milk again!  What a huge blessing.  Do you notice the milk mouth?

  1. Hooray for chocolate milk!!! K has just now started drinking it again too--still nothing else but water, but I'll take it! Glad to see that milk mustache!!

  6. I have been reading your blog since I first saw it on the news last spring. You are an amazing mom. I have been moved to tears more times than I can count when I read your blog because of either your brutal honesty, or because of the obstacles you face with your family....and that you are like the rest of us, I am also the mom of 3. It could have been any one us....but God chose you and your family.....I think you are so raw, and honest, and that reflects the sheer courage and faith that you have. That's a really beautiful testimony to your trust in Him. Your children will be blessed I am sure.

  9. I just happened onto your blog. What a sweet family you have. I have a daughter that was diagnosed at just barely 2 with kidney cancer. Reading your posts reminds me of the feelings I had as we went through it ourselves. Although our experiences are much different, I do know the unsure feeling that are brought up to the surface but trying to be strong for the family. I have to say, now that we are 1 year away from remission, I look back at those days and can see the blessings and the obvious ways that the Lord blessed my family. It is hard to see your way out when your in the thick of it, but my mom gave me the best advise when she was first diagnosed (which I didn't want to hear). She said you have got to find the blessings in this, or it will eat you alive. THat always stuck with me. As a fellow mom who has walked the road before you, remember you are stronger than you think, and you can do this. And if you can't, the Lord will do it for you! My daughter wanted me to tell your daughter how beautiful she is!
