Lucy went down the slide at least 2 dozen times. Laughing hysterically every time! It was so wonderful watching her playing so carefree.
Jack also spent most of the day playing on the slide. He went down on his tummy every time and thought it was the best thing ever!
We took some time to take some pictures with my grandparents. I think the picture of the 4 boys and their wives with Maw and Paw Paw turned out the best. My grandfather is fighting his cancer as hard as Lucy did and most of the time you would never know it. He is so courageous and strong. I love him and my grandmother so much.
Memories of Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without remembering us gathered around the tables eating, laughing and talking about "old times."
And lots of pictures of the ones that mean the most to me.
A few more memories....
Dad wrestling Jack to put his shoe on while he was trying to go down the slide. I was supposed to be helping but I was too busy snapping pictures and laughing at my Dad who was trying REALLY hard not to lose it!
My handsome husband who I love so very much. The best Dad on the planet!
Sweet Maddie. My niece and the love of my life. She's so precious that I laugh every time she smiles. She is an angel and I just love her so much. Just watching her and Jack play makes my heart happy. When she sees me she says "KK!" as if I was the most important thing in her world.
Uncle T and Jack. Jack doesn't like many people, but he took to Tommy immediately at Thanksgiving dinner.
The most precious picture. Jack and Pops throwing acorns in the water. This is a picture of innocence.
My Thanksgiving prayer this year was simple. "Thank you dear Lord for giving me my family back." It was all I could do to keep from crying all day long. Greatfulness abounds and I am so thankful to have an appreciation for what's important in life. I don't sweat the small things. I'm keeping my focus on what matters most.
Beautiful photographs!!! Didn't stop smiling once, while looking at what a beautiful family you are!!! I am SO HAPPY for you guys, and my heart is full!!

I'm so thankful to read of your great Thanksgiving. I'm so happy to think of Lucy at home and would loved to have heard her laughing and playing on the slide. I'd like to donate some money to your Christmas meal for LeBonheur. However it suits you for me to send it please let me know. I'm in North Carolina and can send a check, a money order, go through PayPal. If you could let me know how you'd like for me to send the money, please email me at bevwalks@aol.com. I am and have been touched by Lucy's journey. I hope we can work out a way for me to touch those that have been a part of that journey and those who are on a similar journey.
