I'm happy to report that Lucy got to come home yesterday afternoon. Just in time to pick up big sister from school! Both girls were trilled. I thought Ella was going to jump into my lap through the car window when she saw me. It was so special.
We all snuggled on the couch last night and watched a movie and enjoyed every minute of it.
Thank you again for all of the prayers for my girl and our family. We are headed to Ella's basketball game this morning, followed by a pottery party for Lucy!
Glad Lucy is home. Sounds like a very fun day.

ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that Lucy is home. Praying that she if feeling well, getting rest, and the nutrients that she needs to gain her weight back! She is such a fighter and I know all the prayers being lifted to our Lord is Who she is receiving the strength from. I have a question and hope that it isn't insensitive. But I've often wondered how Lucy feels, not physically, but what her perception of this whole fight is like for such a young girl. Is she scared, sad, mad, or just fighting with all of her might? You don't have to answer, but I just had been thinking about that recently. I pray she finds joy in being with her family and meeting all of the precious people you all have encountered along the way. I pray she senses her Lord and Savior everyday. Prayers and blessings to all of you!

ReplyDeleteAwesome!I'll keep praying for Lucy!
ReplyDeleteSo very happy to hear Lucy is home, and doing well. When she starts to gain weight, she will feel much better, and gain more strength. I know it was a very difficult decision to make, in getting the feeding tube, but whatever it takes to get Lucy back to feeling normal again, will be worth it in the end. So happy everything is going well at home, and each of you is smiling.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers and may God Bless you all! Hugs!
