Kate, she really looks happy and healthy. So happy for y'all in this moment even though I know it must be tough being away from jack and ella. Keeping all of you in our prayers.
Great pics! Lucy's hair looks like it's grown 2 inches in the last week! She seems to be getting healthier and stronger all the time. My heart just swells with happiness every time I see how much better she is getting.
Oh my goodness, just love that picture of Lucy ! Please tell her that her patriotic fingernails are awesome. I know you're missing your Ella & Jack, but there is a reason things happen the way they do, I truly believe that. Even though we've never met, I have a spot in my heart for Lucy and her wonderful family. I'll be mailing a card to her in the next couple of days to the Covington address, there will be something in it she can use for something to make her happy ! Thoughts going out to you all.
so happy. God.is good no matter what and miracles dont make Him any better but sweet Jesus is the ONLY one who could have done this...and He did. Go Lucy, Kate, Erik, Ella& Jack , Go! praying continued blessing over your family. kate, w all your posts, one that has stuck w me tte most ws was when you were rocking jack one night and you said "i love you," and he said, "yes." and that your prayers had been answered about him knowing that you loved him despite all your time away taking care of lucy. I love that, bc I think we, or I atleast, have an easier time believing for miracles than I do the more "simple" things. God cares for all our needs and hears us. love Him and love your family's testimony, a part of which lucys story but also all the wisdom and faith God has given you. praying for you in this time as well. peace and rest for you all

Sorry for my english.
I love what someone posted yesterday about friends who had children at CHOA. I thought her post rang true when she said that two of the families really focused on the hard work of taking thousands of baby steps to get their children to where they are now ... and how they praised God for those tiny steps along the way (and, of course, they were sad when steps sometimes went backwards ... but they focused to get that next step to go forward). If she hadn't mentioned these were other friends of her's, I would think she was writing about you all. I thought her post made perfect sense.
The first picture of Lucy lights up a room ... and look at all that hair!! Keep on, Lucy, keep on -- you're a rock star!
Love reading your blog first thing in the morning and all there is for you to report is that things are the same....just more therapy! Hope the next exciting thing you write about is you're going home and are all together again. Have you been able to check out Skype yet for chats with the kids at home? It is free to download and you will love seeing and talking with Jack and Ella.
Kate, so thankful today for festive hats and fingernails!! What precious pictures! Praying for your peace of mind today and for no more homesickness! Always praying for Lucy's total healing. Hoping your whole family will be reunited soon and that a beach trip is in your very near future!
God Bless You, Kate! I've been following you and Lucy for over a year now praying for your family. I am a 28 year old single gal who dreams of being a mother someday. It is what I want most in this world. And I just have to say you are the epitome of the type of mother I want to be. Unfailing, Selfless LOVE. You are amazing. And your love for God, your husband and children SPILLS off the page as I continue to follow your journey via this blog. Your children are beautiful and so are you. Thank you!
Love those nails, Lucy!!! The beach is my favorite place too and I pray that your dream comes true and that your family gets to go play in the sand soon. We pray for you daily and are so proud of all the hard work you're doing in therapy each day!! Go, Lucy, Go!!!
Oh Lucy! You look so STRONG and awesome!!!! Keep fighting sweet girl! Though we have never met you, we feel like you are a part of our family and have so much love for you. Love and hugs from our family in Arizona to yours. Xxxooo!
Beautiful smile! Does Lucy have access to a pool where you are now? I'm no physical therapist but I know I get a lot more exercise in my pool than I do when I try to make myself exercise outside the pool. You move all your muscles without realizing that you are.
