Welcome Home Lucy!
(Sign meticulously made with tons of love by Ella)
We did have a few good hours on Saturday and she actually wanted to be outside for a few minutes. It was beautiful outside so we took advantage of the afternoon front yard shade and played. The girls painted nails and Jack was well, Jack. Into EVERYTHING!!!
We are back at St. Jude everyday this week. Erik and I look at scans tomorrow so I will report more after I see them. My hope is that by the end of next week we are home for good. I'm anxious to get Lucy started with her at-home teacher and PT/OT. All of this depends, of course, on her ability/willingness to eat. Pray for an appetite please. I'm so ready for this nightmare to be over.
Had to include this...we are slowly but surely getting ready for Halloween.
Praying for Lucy and the whole family. My heart is heavy for you guys, as I cannot fathom all you've been through. You are a source of inspiration. May the Lord bless you each and every one!
ReplyDeleteSo, so happy that Lucy is home! Pray that your week of appointments at St. Jude go well, & that Lucy will regain an appetite. Think & pray for you all daily :)
ReplyDeleteBless her sweet little heart. It is good she is home, but to feel so down right sick and hurting, is the pits. Praying God will lay his hand upon Lucy's precious body, and help her to regain her strength, and stop vomiting. This baby girl has endured more then her share of feeling bad, and she still smiles! That's Lucy! Go Lucy Go!
ReplyDeleteSending Hugs!

Oh, I love the sign that Ella made! That was a lot of work! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so happy for you that Lucy is home. Wishing that each day gets better and better for Lucy.
ReplyDeletePraying for Lucy. So thankful you are all at home.
ReplyDeleteEach night I lay in bed and pray for healing for Lucy. But, you should know, my first prayer is for strength for you and Eric. We have 3 kids too, and I know I can only imagine how difficult it is to get through the day (and manage to decorate for Halloween and have things be 'normal' to some extent). So, even though we don't know each other...know you are being lifted up as much as Lucy is.
ReplyDeleteOh Sweet precious Lucy, I'm praying here in TX for daily.
ReplyDeleteHope Lucy is doing better today! I think about your family everyday, and look forward to reading good news. Praying for strength and appetite for little Lucy.
ReplyDeleteDear Kate,
ReplyDeleteIs that Jack's grandpa who is holding him by the hand? It reminded me of some difficult months we had when our children were small. While I was bedridden, our kids spent hours, days and weeks with their grandparents. Those bonds and memories are so special. It was a blessing of those days that I didn't fully realize at the time. I'm praying there are more and more smiles ahead for your whole family...
Sending positive thoughts your way.
