In a crazy twist of events, Lucys ANC hit 500 today. We are at home, all cuddled on the couch watching Disney channel with Ella. Lucy and Jack are asleep. It seems surreal knowing we are probably gome FOR GOOD!
Lucy's scans were good. Her spine looked cleaner than last time and her brain looked stable. In the world of cancer, stable is a good thing. While we would have liked to have heard a doctor declare her cancer free, we knew that wouldnt happen. So, we are happy with stable. Happy is not the right word. Grateful is a better word. God heard our prayers today and chose to show mercy on Lucy and us. For that we are thankful.
I am so grateful to hear that the results came back stable! But I'm just a little confused - if she's not cancer free, does that mean you guys just wait to see if it gets better/worse? Are there other treatment plans? Is there a chance that the cancer could go away without more treatment? Sorry, I don't know much about this.

Our God is Awesome! So glad you are home. Thank you for sharing Lucy and your journey with so many - You will likely never know the lives you have touched; the faith you have strengthened; and the hope you share through your written words. You have truly touched me and I pray for your family - all of you - especially sweet Lucy - every day. My ex husband was recently diagnosed with brain cancer and I wear 2 Grey wristbands all the time and when I look at them I pray for them both - him and Lucy.. I have been reading every post for some time now and have never written - but today - I felt compelled to say a simple "thank you" for touching my life through your words and know that I am one person praying for your sweet family.
ReplyDeleteSo thankful!!!

ReplyDeleteIn reference to your post a couple of days ago...Lucy moves mountains, even while she is sleeping. There's something special about your baby girl. Lucy causes me to look inside my heart and repent of my selfish ways. Holy Spirit uses her every day and all day long to bring many of us back to our heavenly Father. Kate, I don't know you, but I have great love and hope for Lucy, as well as all of your family. Be blessed, be whole and be healed, Lucy girl, in the precious name of Jesus.
Thank you for your faith, Kate.
