A Fond Farewell

While it will never be a place we want to return (but probably will due to a fever in the near future), the BMT floor of St. Jude has been a wonderful place.  It's amazing how "at home" we have felt over the past 4 months.  The nursing staff is bar none (along with our family at LeBonheur) and the support staff was always so accomoating.  Child Life, volunteers, nursing assistants....everyone played a crucial role in making our journey so much easier.  I won't wax on any further because I'm quite sure we will have one more opportunity to see our "family."

Here are three videos I took yesterday.  Just a tiny glimpse into our day.  As always, I am behind the camera.  My best friend Amanda and Erik are taking care of Lucy.

  3. Kate- I can't remember how I found your blog, but I have been following Lucy's story and have been praying for her. I was in the hospital at age 5 and know what a scary thing it can be. My situation was not near as bad as Lucy's, but I know that she will come through this like a champion. 5 year olds have a special place in my heart (I teach Kindergarten) and I know God is watching over Lucy and protecting her. Praying for no fevers!! much love and prayer, Clare from Nashville, TN
