All is Well

Another short post tonight.  No pictures either.  Lucy is sleeping well and we are so excited by the improvements we have seen already.  She is like a new child.  I am so grateful for a successful surgery and all the prayer warriors lifting her up today.  Thanks again!

More to come tomorrow.....

  3. Praise God! I have to tell you AGAIN how Lucy has impacted our lives! Tonight, after the Tigers lost, I told Ema that I was sad. She asked why and I said because the Tigers lost. She responds, "No mommy we cannot be sad about the Tigers, we are sad that Lucy is sick. She is in the hospital mommy. Poor Lucy!" A 3 year old put me in my place. She wants to pray for Lucy daily. I am so glad she is feeling better. She deserves to feel better! She is one tough cookie!

  5. Heard this today on K Love..."when you feel like you have reached the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!" Even when you feel like you don't have the strength to hang on, I hope you honestly know your family is covered in prayer. I think God is about to show some power in Lucy's life and I am blessed that I am going to get to see it and testify to what a MIGHTY GOD we serve. Keep crying to Jesus, Kate...We have his attention down here!!! Love you, Lori Bolton

  6. I had dreams about little Lucy all night last night and thought of her all day today. It amazes me how God has put a little girl I have never met so heavily on my heart. It is an honor and a priviledge to pray for all of you. Hugs and prayers and love all the way from Wyoming!

  14. I have become a follower of you all through facebook. Your situation is heartbreaking and I find Lucy and your entire family in our prayers continually through the day. You are living a family's nightmare that most only fear. I am sorry for what Lucy is having to endure. Today just explaining it to my two oldest children who are 5 & 3 had me choked up, and yet this is will be a part of your lives forever. Thank you for sharing your story and I pray you are encouraged through the prayers being brought to the Throne of God on Lucy's behalf. I pray for complete healing of her body and SOON! Praying you will be encouraged in the victories big & small and comforted when the road seems dark and endless.
Joshua 1:9- For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

    Many Blessings to your family!!!

  22. I was about to go to bed but, I had to check to see if you had posted anything in hopes of hearing that Lucy was doing better. I'm so glad I did, now I can sleep better knowing that all of you are resting well and Lucy is doing better. The successful surgery was worth the ordeal. I'll pray for quick healing and no more surgeries (at least in the near future). Bless you Kate, what a strong Mommy you are and no Mother could do more.

  26. Thank you for the good news, that Lucy is doing well, and resting peacefully. Prayers were answered that her surgery was a success. Continuing to ask God to give her strength for the next hurdle in this journey. What a sweet, strong and brave little lady she is. I feel I will sleep a little better in hearing, that although a long day for you all, it at least gave Lucy relief and improvement. Let us praise the Lord for every baby step to help Lucy!

  31. Another battle won, yay!! Lucy is a true little warrior. What a testament of strength, faith and prayer you all have been to the rest of us. I pray that God sustain your strength and faith and speak the words you need to hear each time you pray. I think of the story of David and Goliath and how Lucy has overcome so many obstacles already and how she leads us with her resilience, stamina and perseverance. May God give you calm in your storm.

Iḿ so happy to listen that Lucy is ok. What a great new! I was sure that God was listening to us, and that he was going to help your little baby.

  40. Hey Kate and Erik,
Youre prayers are with me and my family. I'm so sorry for the horrifying news and I just wanted to let you know that my 17 yr. old sister has cancer and for 5 years we thought it was lupus or junior remuatoid arthritis. A few years later we found a lypnode in her lower abdomen and we found a softball size tumor. By that point we learned to stick together as a family and we fought like bulls to get through it together and to not leave anyone behind. She was cancer free. Getting through her cancer was the hardest thing we all kept our chins up and fought like crazy. I just wanted to let you know that our prayers are with you and your family. KEEP YOUR CHIN HELD HIGH!!!
    Thanks,
    Lakin Wiseman

    Jeremiah 29:11-12God has a Plan!

'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

  41. Hi Kate...we are still out of town, but on our way up here to Missouri, I kept seeing signs on churches about "faith" and "prayer" and "having faith in God" and "God is faithful", etc. I smiled each time I saw one because I thought of Lucy each time. It was incredible. It was like God's little post it notes along the way as reminders of what He is going to do thru Lucy. I'm so happy she is doing better tonight. Go Lucy Go!!! Have a wonderful night. Lots of hugs to her!!! laura
