Hospital Run

Update
11:45 pm
Blood counts are high enough to fight infection.  Looks as if we will not have to be admitted but will go to a hotel instead.  Meeting with doctors first thing in the morning to get game plan together.  From this mother's perspective, she is exhausted, hasn't eaten in 48 hours, won't drink and has been on some big league antibiotics for over a month.  Her little body is just worn down.  A peaceful, easy weekend at home may do her body good.  I PRAY the doctors will agree....

10:00pm.  First late night run to St. Jude.  Fever 102.

  1. "For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, From whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearths through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:14-21

  3. I'm praying for you all! I've been following you for a few weeks now. I hope you don't mind but I did a post about a few blogs I follow where the families are going through some tough times now. You are 1 of them I posted about. I figured the more thoughts & prayers the better! Try to have a good night & get some sleep!
    Blessings,

  8. Poor Lucy! I will pray for strength for her body to fight this off!
I know this is so hard Kate, but please try to rest as well. Lucy needs you to be strong and fully there for her, if you let yourself run down then you can't give her 100% Please take care of yourself too.

    Covering you in prayer often,
    <><

  9. Matthew 4.24 "The news spread about him spread through the whole country of Syria, so that people brought to him all those who were sick, suffering from all kinds of diseases and disorders: people with demons, and epileptics, and paralytics- and Jesus healed them all."

Kate you are a very strong woman and a very good momma. You are absolutly correct. Keep leading her to Christ. :)

You are very blessed to have the love of such a WONDERFUL family. Keep your chin up and we will all keep praying.

    Go! Lucy Go!..

  15. So happy to hear you had some time at home with just your family even if for just one night! We'll pray for the fever to be gone soon, so you can have more of those "family at home nights". Continuing to keep you all in our prayers and especially for Lucy to be healed of the cancer.
